CARDS 1-3: SILHOUETTE STAMPING
For this first card, I went with a rainbow theme, blending 3 pigment inks to create a rainbow effect and thus create 5 different colours by overlapping the inking of each colour. I used some masking paper, tore the top and bottom edges then cut that lengthways in half and placed across the top and bottom of the panel before adding any ink. When the masking paper was removed, it left an organic edge to the inking which adds more interest to the card. I then used the butterfly images from Meadow Reflections Silhouette Stamp Set to stamp onto the inked panel using Obsidian Ink. The card was added to a black panel which is 1/8″ larger than the main panel and then adhered with Instant Dimension Foam tape to the A2 card base. The sentiment is from the same stamp set and a few iridescent gems completed the card.
This time I cut out an oval piece of masking paper using some nested oval dies from my stash. After adhering this to the middle of the card panel, I added 3 colours of ink to create a gradient. I then removed the oval mask, stamped the images and sentiment from the Floral Garden Silhouette Stamp Set using Obsidian Ink. The panel was backed with a think black matt and adhered to the card base with foam tape. Some silver pearls from my stash added a little sparkle.
For the third card, I used the negative portion of the masking paper I had cut for the previous card so that my ink blending would be in the middle of the card. I used oranges and yellow to create a sunset look. Again, images and sentiment were stamped using Meadow Reflections Silhouette Stamp Set, the card matted with a black matt and adhered to the card base. Some white heart embellishments from my stash completed this clean and simple card.
SCRAPBOOK LAYOUT 1:
This layout may look complicated but I can assure you it was really simple to make! I started by cutting 4 white panels measuring 5×5″, cutting a decorative edge using Creative Scalloped Edges Die Set and then running each panel through the Garden Harmony 3D Embossing Folder. I used a turquoise piece of 12×12 cardstock from my stash as my base page, adhered the 4 embossed panels to the middle and then began to stamp, colour and fussy cut x3 images from Build-a-Garden Magnificent Branch Outline Stamp Set and Layering Stencil Set. I used a black and white photo for my layout as I think it complements the colourful layout rather than competing with it. I heat embossed the title with silver embossing powder and added a few silver pearls from my stash to complete this clean and simple layout.
SCRAPBOOK LAYOUT 2:
This is another quick and easy, clean and simple scrapbook layout. I started by adding 2 strips of Peach Gold Wide Washi Tape to form a cross on the 12×12 white base page. I wrapped the ends of the washi tape around to the back to ensure they remained secure. I then stamped and heat embossed the outline floral image from Craft-Your-Life Project Kit: Dynamic Blossoms 3 times using Golden Peach Crisp Embossing Powder. I used the layering stencils to add colour and then die cut each image. I added a photo (taken many years ago) of my little family, mated it on rose gold matt metallic cardstock from my stash and also added a frame with the same cardstock. The sentiment is from the same kit and a few antique gold sequins added some bling to the layout.
I really hope you have enjoyed visiting my blog today. Thank you so much to taking the time to look and support me. Below is the blog hop list.
