Craft-Your-Life: Project Kit: Watercolor Flowers

Card 1:

My purple and yellow colour scheme was inspired by the colour wheel where these are complimentary colours so will always look good together. I heat embossed the stamped image with Antique Gold embossing powder then used the stencils to colour the images. I then die cut them with the coordinating die and placed them on a double-matted card base where I inked the purple edges with the same ink I used for the flowers and then some Brushed Gold Metallic cardstock. Some matt gold pearls from my stash were added to each flower centre for interest and shine.

Card 2:

This card was coloured using the new Alcohol Marker Set K – Beach Garden. I used the 3D embossing folder from the kit to enhance the image and add lots of texture to this card. A simple sentiment was stamped with Obsidian Pigment Ink. and the card was added to a black card base.

Build-a-Garden: Rosa Gallica

Card 1:

I stamped the image using Obsidian Black ink then coloured the image with the coordinating stencils using the Spring Garden Ink set. This was a quick and simple card to create but also has a clean and simple look.

Card 2:

I used Antique Silver embossing powder over the stamped image, added colour with the matching layering stencils, die cut the image with the coordinating die, added some ink splatters to the white background and added it to the card base with Instant Dimension Foam Tape. The card base is triple mated with Brushed Silver Metallic cardstock, teal cardstock from my stash and then the white card base – all 1/8″ smaller than the previous layer.

Craft-a-Flower: Water Lily

Card 1:

I used Blends 6×6 paper pack for the background and added some interest to the border using the Mix and Match Frames Die Set. This was then adhered to a white A2 card base. I used more colours of paper from the same Blends 6×6 paper pack for each layer of the water lily, added foam tape between each lay and stamped a small sentiment from the Craft-Your-Life Project Kit: Watercolor Flowers. I used a black glaze pen to add some fine black specks around the floral image.

Card 2:

This time I die cut all the layers from white cardstock and ink blended each layer to add subtle colour mainly to the inner areas of each die cut piece. This gives a lovely soft gradient of colour to the flower. The black background was embossed with the 3D Angled Mosaic Embossing Folder, some splatters of Iridescent Ink Spray for shine were added to the embossed background and a die cut sentiment from the featured die set was nestled into the open space in the top right.

Mini Delight: Budding Wallpaper

Card 1:

I love making my own patterned paper using stamped images so this is how I made the main floral area of this card. To add more interest, I cut the panel on an angle and added it to a white card base which was then matted with black cardstock. Some Essential Black and White enamel dots added the finishing touch.

Card 2:

I used Satin Masking tape to mask off about 1/2″ around the edges of the white panel and then ink blended a gradient of colour for the background. I then used the stamp image as a silhouette stamped with Obsidian Black Pigment Ink. The panel was then added to an A2 black card base and some enamel dots added the final touch to this simple card.
